Help oil filter

I am about to do an oil change on my Tamora, has anybody done one?
It looks like I have to remove the air box and air filter housing to get at the oil filter, is this the way to go? If so I am finding it difficult to remove the air filter housing, anybody got any ideas? I have undone the 2 clips which separate the top from the bottom of the housing, undone the 2 Allen screws which support the brackets. Still the top housing only moves slightly and I cann't see anything that is preventing it's removal. Please help!!

If its the same as the Tuscan there is another clip holding the two parts together in the middle on the inlet side of the filter

Cheers Chris. Problem solved but I can imagin it is going to be an awkward sod to clip back on. Next time you are in Yorkshire I'll buy you a pint.

No problem like you I dont mind getting the experts to do the big things, but am happy to get my hands dirty too for the simple jobs.

Don't forget there is more than one drain plug!

Thanks Aaron, I picked that up on another thread. I also found out someone was suggesting using a Land Rover V8 oil filter as it was bigger and improved oil flow. There must be more than one size of filter for the V8 over the years, does anyone know which one it is or is it not worth bothering with.

From experience on a Tuscan, the Ford spec filter is a squeeze to get in anyway. The Landrover ones as fitted to the RV8 TVR's and Cerbera won't fit.
Nothing wrong with the Ford item. You presumably have a dry sump so oil capacity should be plentiful and regular oil changes means the filter is not on too long anyway.
Make sure you clean the magnetic drain plugs of metal swarfe and other particles thoroughly as these are usually left in on a TVR dealer/agent service.
