tyre recommendations for M340i
Discussion
Hi,
Just changed from a Mk7 GTI to a M340i saloon. Love the car but finding the ride on the run flats very harsh, even in adaptive mode. The local roads being in "excellent" condition are a primary contributor. I had MPS4S on my GTI and the ride was really compliant, the DCC probably helped. Should I go for MPS4 or MPS4S? Is blackcircles the most competitive pricewise?

You'll never go wrong with the Likes of Michelin PS4s etc
I run the Goodyear Assym6s on my F31 and really rate them
The Conti 7s are well reviewed as well
Have a look on the tyrereviews.co.uk website & their YT channel too
Re pricing; Asda Tyres are very competitive currently; as are MyTyres & Tyreleader. Camskill is my usual go-to as well; these latter sellers will send them to you and you need to get them fitted locally etc

Swapped from run flats on my M240i to PS4S's and it transformed the car, I got mine through Kwikfit when they had a deal on, don't normally use them as a rule but they were competitive at the time of buying.
I have an M4 now and that's on Continental Sport Contact 7's, they are for handling better than the PS$ in my opinion but I have heard people say they were a lot faster, jury is out on that one

Thanks Jamescrs, What profile tyres did you get. How has it been in wet weather? The current run-flats on my car are 255/40 R19 93Y in the front and 255/40 R19 96Y. If your car has those tyre sizes I'd be very surprised, unless you have 4 rears fitted!Edited by rrmave on Saturday 9th December 13:38

See if your local bmw dealer will price match, my local dealer does
A few years back, tyres were actually cheaper from my local BMW dealership than for any of the local tyre specialist shops.I queried it, and they explained that they simply didn't have as big a mark up on their tyres as the local Kwik-Fit / ATS and independent tyre fitters.
Eventually their prices crept up to the same as the local tyre places, but they're not more expensive than the local tyre places.
