ADVICE BMW 420d
Discussion
Pretty confident that the answer is “no”. There’s no place to anchor a seatbelt, the car hasn’t been type approved for 3 rear passengers, etc.
I’ve got a 440i and I wouldn’t want to put anyone in the space between the rear seats, they’d have to be thin as a rake and short (due to the hump between the seats).

This. Unless it has seat belt anchorages, and the relevant accompanying sheet metal reinforcement, don’t even think about it.I’ve got a 440i and I wouldn’t want to put anyone in the space between the rear seats, they’d have to be thin as a rake and short (due to the hump between the seats).
