Sizing a new bike - I'm inbetween sizes
Discussion
Morning all.
Jumping aboard the gravel bike bandwagon and looking to treat myself to a new ride.
Thinking about the "VITUS SUBSTANCE V GRAVEL BIKE" which can be had from Wiggle/CR for £559.99 which seems pretty decent value for money.
The only thing is, i'm unsure what size to go for. Using a very scenfitic method of grabbing a pencil, standing straight up against a wall and drawing a line along my head and measuring it with a trusty B&M measuring tape, i'm 185cm dead on.
Would you recommend the L or XL?

Pretty confusing as I was looking at the Crosshill 2.0 2023 (down to £589 in XL in some places) and their size guide for that bike says large, which is near identical to the Vitus XL...
Thanks

I'd go for the large.
Can always tweak the fit with a longer stem but tbh being slightly more upright and having a bit more standover room on a gravel bike isn't a bad thing if you're going to be going off road.
those sizes look quite big- just compared to a spreadsheet I have with all my bikes on- the stack and reach of the large Vitus compare quite closely to my Ribble CXSL which is an XL and my CAAD which is a 58cm. (I'm a smidge taller than you at 6'2"). The XL Vitus is bigger than either of those.
