Good evening. I recently bought a E90 320d after selling my e92 to fund a house purchase.
Anyway it's been in to have a few bits sorted namely a new abs ring and a few bushes. Another issue I was having was I was getting no heat into the cabin. My mechanic can't seem to fix it. It's had a new water pump due to a small leak. I don't suspect thermo as it holds temps stationary or moving. No leaks or smell of coolant etc. Now in the engine bay the two hoses going into the bulkhead from the hcv one is hot the other is cold. He attempted a core flush but to no avail. Would the hcv have anything to do with this ? Does this if not working correctly stop heat entering ? Or shall we try the flush a bit more thoroughly. Thanks a mill. Oh and no heat at all no matter position or temps on the dials. All settings cold air blowing

Do the E90s run a heater valve like the E39s/E60s do?

As if they fail, they either stay fully closed or fully open and its a lot of hot air or no hot air at all...

Worth having a look in the engine bay / RealOEM and see what's shown on the diagrams

However; have you messed with the settings, tried the dials etc to see if anything has been set at full cold?
