Evening, sealed the deal on a lovely 97 Chimaera 400 today, Dark Blue (Starmist?) and light beige interior, seen a fair few duffers but this one was a cracker, should be ready in a couple of weeks.

I’m sure I’ll be on here picking brains and asking for advice

Cheers

Welcome and enjoy.
Make sure the tyres are ok and not too old, sellers can overlook this and buyers dont really think of it but as the cars tend to sit around in garages people dont think they age.

Have fun! When the dash lights stop working it’ll be the button by your left knee!

Pop it in 4th before reverse to stop the crunch and put your seatbelt on before you shut the door.

Thanks folks, tyres are new so that’s all good, didn’t know about the seatbelt! If you want to see pics it’s the dark blue one on James Aggers site, should have it in a couple of weeks as a few minor things to be sorted before James is happy for it to go. I know James is well known in the TVR world but the purchase was a more pleasant experience than I’m used to with car purchases.

All I want to do is change the carpet in the doors to dark blue, I assume they just come off and then glue back on and dark blue over carpets for the footwells, just to break up the biege!

Welcome!
Silly grin club is a real thing.

Mine is starmist blue, love it!

Door cards are more than just pulling it off, but once you looked up (or asked on here) how to get the door interior panels off, it’s easy enough.

Tons of great knowledge and help on here, it’s definitely got the family feel.

You’ll no doubt find people who live near you to meet and compare too. I’m in South Bucks in case that’s nearby.

Thanks again all, I’m Bournemouth based but believe TVR Dorset is fairly active so that’s good
