The talk is that the attacker was Algerian. There's a picture floating around of the purported attacker, too, although it remains to be seen whether it truly is an attacker or a victim.

I think the mentality is the police are showing up to protect the invaders not the indigenous. The place has changed substantially in a short period of time and people are angry. It doesn't really help their cause though but it has been brewing for a while. Bit different to over here.
I am not saying thats my opinion, just what I am hearing from people with family over there.

There is a huge amount of anger in Ireland over the huge numbers of migrants entering the country and being put up in hotels right across the country

This isn’t the first instance and I very much doubt it will be the last

The Government continues to blame the people and call them intolerant and racist

As I say the anger about what is happening in Ireland is very real

EDIT: Read Earthdweller's post. Fair enough, if the government is ****ing people over and calling them racist for it I kind get why a police car might be targeted.

Probably, but like i say people feel they are more out to protect the invaders than the indigenous , and i understand that is a slightly touchy subject over there historically.
