I've got an estimate price from them which is book price.

It says "extras may increase the valuation"...surely they know what extras it has on the model?

Has anyone had more on the valuation given after progressing?

They wanted to list mine with a £29,000 reserve. I set it at £30,500 and it’s sold today for £31,300.

YOU set the minimum price.

Thats interesting, do you set all this past doing the valuation?

Im not sure i'm going to find anything that's suited to what I want price wise at the moment so may not bother but they seem to be better than the other Herberts who seem to originally have the market hold.

Agreed the reserve price when they phoned. I just hope it all goes smoothly, see my thread on getting paid.

I used them six months ago.

I set the reserve above their suggested reserve and sold it for bang on my reserve price…….this was on a 70K plus car.

Dealers transport turned up, quick check of the car, bank transfer paid for full amount, keys handed over.

All very straight forward and would use again.

On the topic of Carwow, I don’t find the dealer offers to be competitive anymore, the best cash or pcp price is always more than I can get it for elsewhere without any effort.

I used to be a big carwow advocate when buying new but the offer prices don’t seem to stack up.

Do carwow still take £250 from the dealer per deal?

Used to be £360 I believe, they then went to a model where every offer given, regardless of a sale or not incurred a £30 fee, as far as I'm aware this is still current, which is odd as with the manufacturer I sell for most offers we can match easily, apart from 1 dealer group which pisses it away and then some, it just makes no sense for most dealers to be on there if the given figures are easily matched by a dealer not on there, us for example.

That’s insane

I’ve had to get 5 fresh offers today because Dacia have added a £500 deposit contribution and as such the old offers are considered obsolete.

So all 5 dealers who quoted 5 deals worse than I can get elsewhere without any effort have blown £30 each for the privilege!

No wonder the prices aren’t competitive on carwow, they need to claw all that quote money back.

Yep and why any dealer would discount a Dacia is insane too!

Dacia prices have crept up and there seems to be discounts across the board

UPDATE.

The CarWow dealer turned up yesterday afternoon. He dropped off the driver who spent about 45 minutes going around my car with a fine tooth comb. He phoned his boss who then rang me to try to chip the price as they’d found a tiny mark on one of the alloys and another on the windscreen. With the amount of time he’d spent looking I reckon he’d have found fault with just about any car that’s actually been driven.

I stood my ground and the sale went through as agreed. Cash in my bank then the guy took my car.

Sold my father's Fiesta to Cazoo and can highly recommend them. Took it to one of their branches to avoid their collection fee and the money was in my account immediately. Even better they paid considerably more than Webuyanycar or Motorway offered.

We got another £3k after I haggled a bit for our Kia although it was fully loaded with low mileage, which they had all the details for along with all the factory options.
