997.1 Fusebox bonnet opening question
Discussion
My car is parked outside for the winter and the battery tends to die after 2 weeks when it’s really cold. This winter am considering just bringing the battery indoors.
Anyone know if the battery is removed whether I can still open the bonnet from the fusebox? I know it works when there’s a battery connected (whether it’s dead or not), but not sure if the battery being in place completes a circuit required to open it from the fuse box.
Anyone have experience with this?

I had this issue as I left the car without the battery connected and shut the bonnet. There is a red fuse sized plastic topped piece you need to pull out about 20mm using the fuse remover clips or similar then you apply your live from another car or battery to that (neg on a door hinge) and then it should work. For some bizarre reason the only way mine worked was then to use the Key bonnet opener. so do try the switch and your key
