Noticed the mahoosive cassette on my mountain bike is prone to some surface rust after a wet ride. I do my best to dry it with an old micro fibre before I lube the chain and stick it away, but there is often some rust on there.

Is it worth trying to remedy this? Some spray on oil? Or will that cause the chain lube lube to come off? I know the likes of GT85 act as pretty good degreasers!

If you GT85 it after each wet ride it won’t go rusty.

Careful with spray on anything if you have discs.
