Watched last night, and it's another very well made BBC drama. Gritty and great performances.
This sort of thing should be shown in schools as a crime deterent.

Late to this thread having started one myself last night but we've just got round to watching the second season of this Jimmy McGovern BBC drama. Remarkable television, remarkable performances. Give it a go. As someone suggested, I'm thinking of showing this season to my classes in school.

Good first episode.

For all the money in the world, I couldn't do that job.

Just binged it all. Excellent, but bleak. Some phenomenal acting there, especially from the young lads.

+ however many it is

Great series, again. I have an irrational dislike of David Tennant but even that couldn't put me off it.

This is on our watch list.

I get what you mean about David Tenant, he's a bit marmite, some things he's great in great in, Des as Dennis Nielsen, others he's a bit st or the wrong person for the role, plus he can be a bit too political.

Watched first episode, is that really the day to day life in a YOI?
Showing teenagers that would possibly be a good disincentive for a life of crime.

Brilliant story telling again. Jimmy McGovern is so good at bleak with little sprinkles of up lifting.

Jeez that was hard work, I like a bit of thought provoking TV but that was thoroughly depressing. Wish I hadn't watched it tbh

Just recently started Cracker again, yet another Jimmy masterpiece.
