Hi,

I'm thinking of giving my E90 M3 a bit of a refresh in the next 6 months or so. It feels good but at 12 years old and 90k miles I'm sure it'd benefit from having lots of fresh bits. I will use OEM. I have a garage that can source parts for me at trade price which is handy!

So....what are the key things that can be done that will make the biggest difference for the smallest outlay? It has already had 2 new rear dampers and rear integral links. I must confess to not noticing a big difference having had these done. I was thinking front dampers and all 4 springs. Is it worth doing the top mounts and bump stops?

Which bushes should be done, any arms etc that are commonly worn by this mileage? I don't necessarily want to replace a bunch of stuff for no reason, but likewise I am sure it'd benefit from a good refresh. I guess if you end up doing everything the cost can become quite prohibitive!!! It wouldn't surprise me if you could easily spend £3-4k in parts alone! Not a track car, just used for road use and the odd road trip holiday.

Many thanks in advance.

Solid subframe bushings are said to make a good difference.

Evolve also did a refresh on a 152k mile M3, video might be worth a watch:
