How high does the collective wisdom of ph think it'll go?!

Wondering if I can register and get a cheeky first £1 bid in just to say I competed for one...

Do very well to make half that in current climate. Very interesting to see what it does make. Gorgeous car. To me one of the nicest of all time looks wise wink

Stunning car, easily in my top 5 of all time. I'll hazard a guess at the final price being over £70,000,000.

Agreed that the current climate isn't great for supercars, but this doesn't feel like an ordinary car. If you want this car your portfolio might be 20 million down on the year but it's probably still worth a good few hundred million or more... It's been owned for the last 38 years so unlikely to be available again in a lot of possible bidder's lifetimes.

On another note, tried to register to bid, proof of funds and a $5k hold on a credit card required. Damn!

That car will go over £70M for sure, the final 5 bidders on this car have no concerns of ‘current climates’, doesn’t effect them 1 iota.. That is as good as it gets in GTO World, would not surprise me if this went over £100M..

I doubt it'll make the most expensive car sale of all time but I think it'll be near it

The limited type of buyers for this car (no I don’t mean you rambo) will not be so restricted by current economic climate.

That said I don’t expect this to top last May’s sale of the 300 SLR Uhlenhaut for €135 million.

Idiot.

Oh of course, the current climate. Where buyers of £50,000,000 cars have to reign in their spending because of their gas and electricity bills.

There is no limit, if 2 or more people with infinite funds want it. $150M for some is the equivalent of a 1 cent change in the price of barrel of oil over one day.

Only 36 x 250 GTO's were ever made.

Only two examples were ever raced by the marque’s own racing team, Scuderia Ferrari. this is one of those cars, including a class win at Le Mans.

This is a one off opportunity. Since the last 2 sold in 2018 for $46M and $70M (5 years ago) none have come up for sale. A 'normal 250 GTO is a once a decade sale, a Scuderia Ferrari owned racing car, once in a lifetime. The sky is the limit, if a cossie can go for £592,250.......

Last bit of the video "On Auction" ..... terrible grammar, makes my teeth itch. (To be auctioned).

And how about this from the blurb:

"2ND IN THE GTO CLASS AT THE 2011 PEBBLE BEACH CONCOURS D'ELEGANCE, among 23 TOTAL GTOS"

Sloppy repetition and imprecision.

(2nd place out of 23 GTO cars competing in their class at the 2011 Pebble Beach CDE)

Can they not afford proof readers?

Oh and what came first in the GTO class then?

Strange that it comes up for sale now. A year ago would have been far more advantageous. Personally I don't think it will sell. Gap between ask and bid will be too far. Yes, billionaires are not affected by the current cost of living crisis, but they became billionaires because they took advantage at times where others did not. Hence my doubt that this will sell.

I don't think this is the shade of blue you meant (Blu Genziana possibly?) but I had the pleasure of seeing chassis 3445 up close in 2018 and I fell in love with it. I couldn't possibly decide between this livery and red or any colour 250 GTO to be fair, not like I will ever need to!

Isn’t this car though not one of the 36 x 250 GTO’s but one of the 3 cars fitted with the 4 litre hence why it’s listed as a 330 GTO?
