Due to a new job, I now get free car charging at work. I can't move to full electric (as I only have on-road parking at home), so petrol plug-in hybrid seems like the next best thing.

It needs to be big enough for 2 adults, a baby, and the occasional dog. I'll also be using it for general dump runs, etc etc etc.

I have been looking at the following options, which would recommend? Have I missed any?

- Peugeot 508 1.6 S/S SW GT LINE - Looks pretty nice, decent electric range, good range of tech, is it going to be reliable?
- MINI Countryman 1.5 10kWh Cooper - Bit of a wildcard as I don't really like them, but a guy at work loves his so maybe I'm wrong?
- SEAT Leon XCELLENCE LUX DSG 1.4 - Looks nice, good electric range, maybe a bit boring?
- Volkswagen Golf 1.4 TSI 8.7kWh GTE Advance DSG - Looks like a golf, decent range.

Is there any others I should be looking at? Budget is £20k max however if I could get something for £18k that would be great!

You could pick up a 2 year old MG HS for that budget.

From your list the 508 would get the nod, they're a nice place to be & it'll be no less reliable than anything else above.
