Hi all,

I've read the forums from time to time but only on particular topics when I'm redirected here from google! So apologies for joining and posting straight away, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere.

Does anyone know if there is any way to find the repair photos from insurance write offs? CAT N and CAT S cars?

I know lots of sites give the information out on whether or not the car has been an insurance write off, but for the cars that are now repaired and back on the market, is it possible to retreive repair info?

As I'm sure you can imagine, I'm looking at a previously repaired car and I'm curious about the repair work that was done.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated :-)

I may be wrong here, but I believe that is only the case if the car was sold at a salvage auction?

Thanks for the responses. So far, Motorcheck are the only ones I can see that do it but they only provide this info to traders! I'll keep looking.

a work colleague was looking a bmw 3 series which was surprisingly cheap. Private sale. He asked me for my thoughts.

a vcheck query showed it was cat N and had several of the salvage auction pics showing all the damage.

Just as an extension to the previous question (because the VCheck site worked perfectly), is there any way to find out who actually did the repairs / registered the vehicle after repairs? Or is it just assumed that if the car passes an MOT then it is deemed to have been repaired to a satisfactory standard?
