Cost to fit tyre and balance
Discussion
I had a couple of wheels balanced at our local friendly indie tyre place and was gobsmacked to be given a bill for £18 each plus VAT. I should have been suspicious of the dolly bird who'd appeared on reception - they've never had anyone doing that before.
I noted a recent Google review from someone going ape that they'd charged him £25 for fitting a tyre - compared to me, he got off fairly lightly.

He paid £25 & you paid £21.60 & you are saying he got off lightly?

I checked a couple of other places and £7 (inc VAT) for balancing is more normal - and that's exactly what they've charged me in the past.

My bad I missed that you just had them balanced, my mistake, carry on.
I had been going to the same place for many years - But as soon as I saw a £20/Corner charge for a tyre swap I went somewhere else. - That's for a standard 18" wheel, 245/40 tyre without TPMS, hardly a difficult job (Compared to some modern hyper low profile stuff)
Then they wanted a £2/Wheel upcharge to fit black wheel weights!
Don't mind paying up to £15 for somewhere with quality staff & equipment.
