BMW 1 Series - Rebonding the hood glass to the cabriolet

Hi All. I am trying to do a favour for a friend whose 1 series BMW rear screen has become unbonded and is leaking in rain water. At the moment the whole screen is covered in duct tape. Its a mess.

A new hood is £1500 fitted and a company have asked for £400 for rebonding. Does anyone have experience of fixing this? What products did you use?

Used the kit off eBay on mine about 6mths ago. Not perfect aesthetically but not too bad and completely water tight. (kit is glue and the suction clamps that hold in place).
