Hi
Considering purchasing the direct replacement Bosch injectors marketed by Tornado Systems. Has anyone done this? Is it worth the investment?

I took my old 400 to Tornado and had all 8 injectors replaced whilst there…pretty sure I had the Bosch replacements.

Not a cheap day out by any stretch…but worth every penny, as they re-flashed the chip on the rolling road whilst there.

The car was so much better after seeing them. Original cam was still in place 73k on the clock and came away with 243bhp (fly). I’d recommend them and go with their thoughts on my current one happily.

Thanks @Belle427 for the thread link and advice regarding cost….seems they’re asking double the market price! Thanks also @Harveybw, good to hear they have made a difference!
Think I may well invest (not via TS) and have them fitted where she is maintained.

I think when it gets near £1000 for this work I'd rather do a Megasquirt conversion.
Granted not everyone works on their own cars but it's a very interesting conversion that teaches you a lot.
Transforms the car too.

Good point @Belle427, may well be better putting funds towards ultimately upgrading the engine management system. Won’t make any hasty decisions, will discuss further with Colin at TVRS. Thanks again.

First thing to do is pull the plugs out and look at the central electrode. You should have an even colour all round. If it's coloured in one side it means the fuel is not atomised well and washing the plug. Try some injector cleaner first off if this is the case.

@BarnFind, good to hear of another endorsement. @blitzracing, thanks for the advice, injectors were cleaned and flow-balanced not long ago, so all should (hopefully) be good. As she’s in though for a 12k service soon, will ask them to have a good look at the plugs…and have the natter about the Bosch injectors.
