Tyre fitter in Chester area

Hi,
Ive just purchased two Michelin pilot sports tyres for the rear of my 997.2 but now find nobody will fit them including Porsche Chester! All don’t want to fit customer supplied tyres! Does anyone know of a careful and reliable fitter in the Chester area who is able to assist?

That’s odd, I’ve always had no issues. Even at Kwik fit. Always offered to pay cash, I’m sure it helps and goes in the beer fund for the fitters?

Edit to add - sorry this is no way answers your question. Have you tried any back street fitters or mechanics? Local Porsche specialists?

I used to get mine fitted by Roger at the wheel restorer near Wrexham.

He really cares about quality so might be worth a call. He will ensure the minimal amount of wheel weights and usually will colour code wheel weights.

Top Gear Tyres might do it in Ellesmere Port. They normally fit part worn but they seem like the kind of place that would fit your own.

Yep Top Gear will do supplied tyres, and are careful on nice wheels (less so on cheap ones!). Make sure you tell them it's the real thing if you turn up with the wheels loose.

I've had part-worns fitted by a Halfords branch - they would only do it if I'd had the tyres from new, I just said I'd replaced a full set and kept them.

Thanks for all the updates/info and will look into them. The chap near Wrexham sounds just the job after viewing his website and I’ve sent an enquiry but not had a reply yet.
