Your criteria is based on
speed
adaptability
potential
dependability

Speed means their qualifying pace and race pace Leclerc would score highly here despite losing out on the 4th category

Adaptability means how good they are to changing conditons and can include coping with changing regualtions of cars Hamilton Vestappen would score well here Ricciardo would not (if he were on the grid)

Potential gives the newer less proven drivers a chance against the older ones ie zhou vs bottas. Zhou should keep getting better where as Bottas has clearly already peaked and is on a downward trend. Equally this hurts drivers like Sargeant who clearly have no potential... Yet drivers like Hamilton and Alonso can have a good score here as you may believe they wont fall/havn't fallen off.

Dependability hurts Leclerc Sargeant etc because they seem to like to throw it into the wall

9 Hamilton
8 Russell

8 Sainz
8 Leclerc

9 Norris
7 Piastri

10 Verstappen
4 Perez

6 Ocon
6 Gasly

5 Tsunoda
6 Lawson

8 Alonso
2 Stroll

4 Bottas
5 Zhou

7 Albon
1 Sargeant

4 Hulk
3 Magnussen

Can we just jump straight to the pissing contest of why everyone's scores are wrong?

8 is too low for Alonso, IMO. I think he's been the second-best driver on the grid this year, and arguably not that far behind Verstappen.

I think you're harsh on the Haas drivers too, especially Hulkenberg. I think he's been one of the stronger drivers in the bottom five teams.

Top 5 , I agree except that Perez is mor like Ocon on 6, rather than 4

However, the bottom 5 it is very hard to judge as the cars that they have are not really in the game for direct comparison.

I base this on how they got on, and how good they both were.

Lauda/Prost
Senna/Berger
Hamilton/Bottas
Schumacher/Barrichello
Mansell/Rosberg
Moss/Fangio
Clark/G.Hill
