Ow do you lot,
Time for a swap round of cars in the household, 'er in doors is getting rid of her mitsi Evo 5 as the practical shopping car to go back to an Elise so I'm now looking for something with 4 seats to replace the Noble. Needs to be something that puts a smile on my face day to day, whilst capable of doing the Tesco/schoolrun/airport type stuff (and just maybe the odd track day ;)
Seen a couple of CSL's being driven in anger, one at Harewood Hillclimb and one at a recent Snetterton trackday, certainly make a lovely noise, just wondered how engaging they are to drive? Are there any things to look out for apart from making sure it's the right wheels with one (how do I tell??).
Having lived with 2 cars which have needed servicing at least 3 times a year, what are the schedules for the CSL?
Anyone suggest alternative to CSL???
Finally (honest), anyone know of any at any dealerships in Yorkshire at present? tried BMW.co.uk but all seem to be down south, fancied testing one tomorrow.:)

M12_Nathan moved from a Noble M12 to an CSL this year, why not contact him and see what he thinks. You'll find several posts he made at the time. Here is a recent one that you can use to track his earlier posts from...

I'm running both a 3R and a CSL at the moment. Both very different cars, but it would be very hard to choose between them.
The CSL is a cracking bit of kit. I swear I will lose my licence in it that noise is addictive!! Talking to my dealer the other day he reckoned the prices are starting to firm up on CSL's, a future classic.
Anyway, if it has to be four seats you couldn't go far wrong with the CSL. The only other thing I am amazed by at the moment is my mates 535d Estate. It's just been DMS'd today and I took it for a run.
Oh my God that thing is almost too fast. Not off the line so much but in gear...it's bloody dangerous. Worth a go but not much of a track car!

Ideally you want the full spec :
- business radio
- automatic aircon
- correct alloys (not the m3 ones - check the bmw for sale section and it should be obvious)
- parking sensors
- xenon lights
can't think what else but you can generally work it out from looking at lots of adverts.
Main CSL forum is www.bm3w.co.uk/ubbthreads/postlist.php?Cat=0&Board=ClubForum
Good luck with the change. I nearly got a CSL myself.
Check out www.bm3w.co.uk - there's a CSL section on there.
Make sure you change the standard exhaust.
There are a few 'cheap' CSL's knocking around that are ex demo's (ex track cars), not necessarily a bad thing but be careful.

There's only 8 for sale on bmw.co.uk, normally there's around 20 or so for sale - low supply, high demand = > prices.
Hi
I've just changed to a CSL and find it's fantastic to drive. From my last car (GT3RS) i am finding it's just as fun and rewarding to drive and I always wanna go somewhere in it !!! Plus it's sort of different and most people seem to be facinated by it !! where with the porsche (which i adored) people thought it a bit Chav !! I have a friend with another CSL and he uses it for day to day and in one week did track days at Djon, spa and Nurburgring and drove home with no prolems, Not many other cars can do that
