I needed a sit down after Singapore, so let’s hope Red Bull has a nightmare again. Unlikely though as this is a track made for the RB19 so expect a RB 1-2.

Too close to call behind Max though, and I’m hoping Lawson gets another go. I like his understated excellence, a bit like Piastri or the opposite of Stroll.

Here’s to a great race. Again, poll is for 2nd.

Woo, thanks PiaP. Great work once again!

I've voted for LH44 this time, I think he could take P2 and I have a grudge against Perez for punting Albon off last time out biggrin

Always liked Suzuka as a circuit, would to see a race there one day. Albeit the 11 week old puppy we have at the moment means I'll likely be awake to watch this one live despite being super early !

Charles will be out the blocks this week to claim his number 1 spot at Ferrari.

Thanks as always for the thread - we were getting worried for a minute there! biggrin

Here’s hoping for a continuation of the upturned order from Singapore. It’s been a long time since three different cars were on the podium, and none of them were the leading car in the championship.

Stroll is apparently fit, and Ricciardo apparently isn’t, in which case Liam Lawson might get another chance to add to his points tally.

Thanks Mr Poke! biggrin

I think it's a Redbull 1-2 again this week...

No need to apologise my friend, we all have lives outside of this forum! Take the message that several of us were concerned, as a massive compliment to your efforts on these F1 race threads. thumbup

As you know I did it once, and it took me more than an hour to get everything together!

Anything less than RB total domination at this circuit and we'll know that Horner was lying when he said nothing had changed.

One of the best weekends of the year..

Will be close at the top with the mixture of slow speed and high speed turns.

McLaren, Ferrari and Merc all close..

Red Bull… depends how much they have to raise the ride height.. 3/10th clear or 3rd row. Track is smooth so should be clear.

Practice will be difficult as it should be wet (c2 proto tyres too), brilliant sun shine on the Sat/Sunday.

I suspect (well hoping really) Red Bull will still be nobbled…… so British 1-2-3 for me!

How dare you have a life outside of Pistonheads! biggrin

I'm pretty sure normal service will be resumed here, with Verstappen having half a second over the field and Perez being about level with the best of the rest. I think Perez will just about scrape second if he can avoid making any catastrophic mistakes.

Think Max will blast out a 30+ second lead this weekend, just to shove it in the face of the doubters last week, regardless of if the team tell him to reign it in.

Norris P2 and a Piastri top 5 will do me nicely!

Getting really excited about McL these days, hopefully the gap at the front closes a little and I can get some enjoyment from watching it live again!

If saturday is a tame evening I may get up to watch it - Last year was a farce to watch live so I'm aprehensive!

Thanks for starting the thread

Good news that you are still in the land of the living.

Also, thanks for showing all of us how to discuss F1 without having to descend into tribalism

Thanks PiaP.

Lots of chuckles on this first page hehe

I'm interested to see whether RB continue to be closer to the pack, but I fear this year's normal service will be resumed. Fingers crossed for Lawson and Albon to have crackers!

Lando giving it some re: the lack of penalty for impeding during Singapore, even against his good pal Max. Maybe the grid are a little suspicious of what seems to be slaps on the wrist for the current poster boys?
