Theresa May was a total disaster and this is just another part of her bizarre campaign to revise how history will view her. Of course, silly stories like this are easily made up when you refuse to name names, barely one rung above 'a source close to the party said...'.

The minister who would meet the families would surely be the Minister of State for Policing, Fire, Crime, Criminal Justice, and Victims no other Minister in the Home Office would need to meet the families since it's not an immigration issue, security, domestic abuse issue etc..

Under Theresa May as Home Secretary in 2010 it's easy to find out that would have been:

Nicholas Le Quesne Herbert, Baron Herbert of South Downs ex-MP, who held the position from 13th May 2010 to the 4th September 2012.

If of course she's telling the truth.
