London based bike hire of choice
Discussion
Santander for me as an out of towner, theres usually decent availability around Kings X station and multiple docking stations around my usual work related destinations
Having said that the pricing structure changed a little while ago and its not quite as good value as it was (Im from Leeds LOL) and the functionality of the app has plummeted too
The app used to be great however I cant get my card loaded which isnt terrible TBH however means I cant try one of the ebikes which are app only
Thread bookmarked for alternatives......
Cheers
Is your office in the square mile? Only Santander bikes are allowed there. I used them once and got to monument and the rack was full. Had to cycle across London Bridge and park it there an walk back. Put me off.
Are you regularly just back and forth from office to station? When I did that I bought a crap second hand bike and left it outside Euston on the racks. Then came covid and I didn't go to the office for a long time and came back and it had been stripped off parts

Ha! very interesting Scabutz. I have started using Forest (Human Forest) and i will see how i get on. It is an e-bike and i do feel a little guilty that i have replaced a 15 min brisk walk, with an e-bike.
No, our office is not in the square mile.
I plan to see how i get on with Forest e-bike then switch to Santander for a week. Then i can get a good sense which i prefer.
Early days for me, but looking forward to trying it out. Get out of the tube. Just in time for autumn/winter
