So after selling my S3 8p to dream car giveways, I went through a sensible stage. Buying a house, holidays etc. I have had many cars since the Audi, 335d with 230k on it, 172, Alfa 159 with 255k.

I needed a little something to spend some money on here and there and just go and tinker with. Got rained off last Thursday shot to Bristol to pick up this little gem ??

So the Mini….
133k on it. Decent history. Full exhausts as the standard one rotted away.
Only issue is aux pulley is shagged.

Plans are to work on it myself. Prob oem+ with decent power, big brakes and naughty suspension. Maybe even down the clubsport route. Perfect starter car to get me back into it all and until I save for M2

Fun little cars and very easy to work on. Can take the whole front of the car off in about half an hour once you’ve done it a few times. Parts can be very cheap. Not the most reliable with coolant issues and some other gremlins, but great cars to enjoy and tinker with.

Looks good value for £1,500 - sure you’ll enjoy it.

I (wife) has a mini one which is great to thrash but obviously missing the performance although I love driving a car at its limits rather than my own!

Will be next year before I can do anything as I need garage space to keep a project car but was either looking at an early car for a couple of grand and having it as a mess about car or getting a JCW and just tweaking and wife using it as a daily. Either way, I suspect it will def. be another mini.

At that price you can't do any better as a B road blaster. I had one in the same colour which had been fettled by a previous owner and it went like a rocket, absolutely hilarious. Looking forward to seeing what happens next with this one.

Fitted and modified my airbox so I can run a large cone in the orginal airbox. Best bang for buck and no silly noises.

Removed the rear wiper to clean up the rear end also

I thought I recognised that username!!! Glad you're still in the car scene and hope you're keeping well.

Do you know it's been 15 years since the Saxo days... and you won't believe me but I still have it amongst other cars.

Mini looks great, they are really cool and handle so well.

Gave the mini a quick going over today. In desperate need of claying and correcting as some of the paintwork looks like a 4 year old has had a go with a brush and covered in over spray! Still scrubs up well for 21 years old
