I have a habit of recommending my own cars, but think my current pair very much fit the bill here, covering manual and automatic, naturally aspirated and supercharged, rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive, straight-six and V6. Both ULEZ compliant, £395 to tax and capable of over 30mpg on any form of run…You have £20k for a two car garage. Based on today’s prices.

OK ... So I'm going to add some assumptions to my make believe 2 car £20k garage
1, You have a garage for 1 car and the other lives on the drive,
2, You have some disposable income (Otherwise you'd not want x2 insurance/tax/MOT etc)
3, You possibly are capable of basic spanner-ing (One car may be a snotter/shed for daily-ing)
And with those criteria set ...
T6 sets off for
1, An economical all weather family barge for daily duty .. capable of living outside for not a lot of money
2, Something for weekend usage that could be a garage queen
And so T6 fails at the economical family barge ... but it is Q4 so all weather
And like a 10 year old with their pocket money burning a hole T6 would buy the first object that meets the Garage queen weekend special title

It’s a great car. Sadly I’m a driver not a polisher, so it very rarely looks like this! Also ditched these 9.5-inch wide aftermarket anvils for BMW Performance wheels. S5 was just under 89k miles and five owners. Very good spec and pretty decent history. Far cheaper than anything equivalent I could find - before or after buying it last month. Even has three keys.
This has popped up today, though - worse spec and at least one super-budget Rapid tyre - but only two owners, 75k miles and £9,000. Seems very cheap. Far more appealing colour than mine, too.

No idea! I assume because it’s petrol now that Gov want to run diesels off the road. Emissions based stuff for ULEZ. I drive into London semi regularly so checked the Jeep when I bought it and was also surprised.
