Dear readers

I’ve got a £20k budget and leaning towards the S Max for now whilst my three children are in two car seats and one in a booster seat. Can the car seats and booster seat fit in to the back row without having to use the additional two far rear seats (as we need the bigger boot space)?

Also, what are these cars like? I’ve never owned one before as have always had German cars!

Great product design from chassis, packaging and looks ( for what it is). Been in production for a LONG time so there are surely lots of dedicated forums/groups for them.

I can’t answer the first part but I rented one when the in-laws were over from Canada a while back, I was so impressed I thought about buying one myself. It was only the fact that we rarely need 7 seats that stopped me.

The ride was decent, it was a great drive considering it’s pretty large and we had no complaints from the in-laws about the seats in row 2 (they’re ‘well built’ to put it politely). Build quality appeared satisfactory for the week or so we had it. I think it was a Titanium spec car, I can’t remember if it had car-play etc but the standard nav was OK.

Row 3 seats aren’t overly large but if you consider it to be a very useful 5 seater with 2 occasional seats you’ll not go far wrong.

I’d much rather have one than a 7 seat Discovey Sport etc.
