M2C bonnet not releasing…

Odd one this, first pull on the lever pops the drivers side but second pull does nada and the passenger side stays firmly locked… can’t remember ever noticing whether both are supposed to go to a first stage together with the second pull fully releasing or if it is side at a time.

Warranty expired in June! Ho hum…

Try getting someone to put some light pressure on the side that won’t pop whilst you pull the handle at the same time.

Thanks; have tried that, and other manipulations, without any joy. Local AD workshop manager reckons they’ve seen a few recent two-pull cars with the same issue… apparently one of the cables can pop out of its receiver… it’s going in next Monday; he seemed to think an easy enough fix.

All sorted; no can openers or angle grinders needed… was indeed a displaced cable end. Wollaston at Northampton turned it around quick and clean; much appreciated, great service.
