I've seen an old thread, but want to be sure.... With the steering wheel boss on it is a nightmare to reconnect the little white connectors.

Is it the best way to get the boss off and then put the connectors in place? And then put is as a whole back on?

Also.... the counter connector, where you have to push the connector on coming from the button, is it just pressed on? I've ordered some spare connectors and counter connectors. One of the little white plastic "lips" has knackered....

I cheated and extended the length of the wires to the steering wheel buttons. It all became so much easier after that.

I cut off the side of one of the wee triangles to get easier access.

I did this and cut grooves into the plastic back-plates so that the wires wouldn't be trapped between the Wheel and the Boss.

Mine already has notches, but only one per plate. Still a nightmare to get the molex conectors on when the buttons are in the steering wheel. When the molex connectors are on they sit "secured between the boss and the counter connector.
