I reckon they'd be even sadder if they only deported the parents..

Yes, pretty soon we'll be getting: "Just think how the murderer's children will suffer if you send the accused to prison for life"

How exactly do these loonies want them to deport these people then? By enticing them out with sweets? FFS.

I would give them a good thrashing first then deport them.

At least the news stories would be more interesting to read.

IvIark.

Erm, they already do. Whilst I dont doubt that in the event of a murder, a woman would go to prison regardless as to dependants, for other crimes (usually involving only "material loss", ie shoplifting, fraud, obtaining DSS benefits etc etc) its a common tactic utilised by Defence Barristers to stop their Clients going to Prison.

Thats one of the (though not the main reason) there are so relatively few women in prison.

Dont know if you remember a few years back where a certain Judge James Pickles (who was known, before his retirement, to be less than PC) imprisoned a young woman who, between commiting the crime of allowing her friends/relatives to wander through her supermarket checkout without paying, & being found guilty & getting sentenced to a short period of imprisonment, managed to get herself pregnant.

Judge Pickles, sensing that the pregnancy was nothing more than attempt to avoid impisonment by the woman, sentenced her anyway. There then followed a media frenzy where our liberal left orchestrated her release & replaced her incarceration with a period of community service.

If they left when told to and were not still in the country six months later they wouldn't get a dawn raid?

Deportation 'terrorises children'

Well perhaps the question is why are the parents putting their children in a situation where they could be terrorised.

If you dont like it off somewhere else

There was that woman who went to Turky leaving her two young children at home with a very young (too young) babysitter. Sent down for 6 months but suspended as the children needed their mother to look after them

Yes that's exactly the point, you get the impression that it won't be long until they coming up with it for anything, even murder.

OT I know but I really don't see how anyone can expect total sexual equality in this country whilst positive discrimination like this is still deemed acceptable. In effect we're being told that women are the equal to men and want to be treated in exactly the same way unless it's something crappy and then we'd like to be treated like fluffy kittens please.

And don't even get me started on Diamond Insurance!

So trying to bring them to a country where they're safe from potentially being murdered along with their family for their political or religious beliefs is putting them ina situation where they can be terrorised is it?

And don't give me that hackneyed crap about how "they" all come over here to claim benefits because it simply isn't true.

I accept that some failed asylum seekers will have to be deported but there are ways to do it. Terrorising people is just cruel and unecessary.

Why is it that women can often get cheaper car insurance
than men?

A good question and one we hear often.

The answer is that, women drive differently to men.

Generally speaking, women have the same number of accidents as men, but it’s the seriousness of the accident that is very different between the sexes.

Typically, an insurance company has to pay out more to fix a car when a man has an accident as the car has to be extensively repaired.

96% of convicted dangerous drivers are men

Women have a different pattern of driving to men. They drive shorter distances, have lower mileage and tend to drive more slowly. Men are convicted for 92% of driving offences and 96% of all convictions for dangerous driving.

Given these ways in which the sexes drive differently and the actual claims experience of insurance companies, you can see why an insurance company will decide to generalise that women drivers are ‘safer’.

The difference between the sexes is at its height in the late teens and twenties. Over 30 and things tend to even out and men over 75 are often regarded as the safer risk.

Things could well change though. A survey by our sister company in 2004 showed that more women than men often feel angry when driving. Also, many women are now driving longer distances and at higher speeds. But until the statistical evidence shows that there has been a swing, insurance companies will still rate women differently from men.

.

not the ones i have seen driving.

Bearing in mind that people being removed have been through an appeals process where their claim has been found to be false, how would you suggest that they are removed? If children are being frightened it is solely the fault of the families involved by refusing to leave without being forced.

Failed claim does not automatically mean it's false.

Anyway, without wishing to get into yet another tedious asylum argument, my point was that I couldn't see any reason why a bit of humanity couldn't be shown.

And the whole thing begs the question; If the next set of statistics show that black women are more likely to be involved in car accidents than anyone else, will other insurance services be allowed to offer a special discounted rate to white men?

I'm sure that "generally speaking" will be outlawed quick-smart.

Personally I'd prefer to see them drop the humanity and concentrate on the efficiency.

I sorry if the kids were a little shaken up but these people had been told 4 years ago that they failed to meet the criteria and they should leave, if they had just left then none of this would have been nessesary
