After foolishly selling my elise 4 years ago, i am now looking at buying a 340R, i am a little out of touch on what i should look for - good bad and ugly. I have looked at car No 177 for sale in the classifieds £17,750. I have checked the cars history as best i can and it seems un dinged. The seller apart from being a nice guy, seems very genuine and has a lot of supporting documentation, i am always a little concerned when parting with 17k. Does anyone know the car, and what should i be looking for?

Try posting on SELOC. Quite a few 340R owners on there and someone should know the car.

www.340r.net

Join the 340R owners website and you can find who owned the car etc etc. The guys on there are real helpful.

I had to part with my 340R as my wife did not like it. I had the best upgrade there is on the 340R - the UCR gear conversion.

You should have upgraded the wife instead.

I could forgive her in that case.
