Evening meet for Wiltshire and Dorset - Sept 1st

Hi there guys! Last month I put a a topic up about an evening meet I was hosting. I wanted to say that it went down a storm with over 40 cars (from classic and kits, to super and tuner) coming and a lot of interest from others after seeing the first go down.
I thought I’d share it again here incase anymore of you would be interested. Below you’ll find the poster (as well as a link to the Instagram account I’m running the meet from) as well as a couple pics from the last meet so you can get an idea of what it’s about. In the Alpine?
Yeah it’s a thing of glory isn’t it! Long range forecast has end of august and early sept more likely to be drier and low winds. So hopefully it gets to go ahead!

Not in the Alpine unfortunately - still awaiting parts for Alpine

Had the pleasure of flying in the Spitfire form Compton in July and it was as glorious as you’d expect

How exciting! The next @driveshafts_and_aircraft meet is happening soon and we can’t wait to see you and your wheels for another great evening!

Before we get to ahead of ourselves here’s some info that we’d love you to read⬇️
- The meet is from 6:30pm until closing. Don’t arrive much earlier as Compton Abbas aren’t expecting us until the time given.
- Please drop either Ed (@four_curbed_wheels ), Dom (@theloudr) or @driveshafts_and_aircraft a line if you plan on coming along (or have any questions). This helps us give a good estimate to our friends at Compton Abbas Airfield and it means that there will be less of a wait for your pint!
- If you want to eat there you have to pre-order food with Compton abbas.
- Please share the event around. More cool people = more cool cars. Had a massive turnout last time and it would be great to top it!
- I know it won’t be an issue but do respectful to residents and our hosts. Nice cars are often loud cars!
- Again we will be supporting @andrew_bear_gilbert / @sunday_startup fundraiser for Parkinson’s UK so please bring some change or scan the QR codes you’ll see by the donation buckets.

I'd be keen to come along, only thing I would add is it's a bit of a trek down from Bristol so if the weather is rubbish I won't bother (a long lazy drive on a summery evening appeals, a Friday night slog in the rain doesn't) forecast looks ok-ish at the moment.

That is a trek! Yeah there should be space, even though a lot of cars are down there’s lots of parking. Hopefully see you there!

I would have gone if I was only a few minutes away but just under 2hrs is a bit far, especially as he was a bit wobbly making to the bathroom last time as well
