I've used Stepaside Coachworks in Pleasant Valley several times.

On a semi related note, Chris Denning in Cardiff is highly recommended for servicing and repairs.

Tiny garage tucked away in Cardiff, he is hugely knowledgable and capable and did a great job on my 981. 1/3 of main dealer costs.

Cardigan for cars and coffee is a good trip out.

Thanks, I spoke to Chris about a car I viewed in Cardiff, seemed like a top bloke, there are also a couple of specialists around Bridgend which is a bit more convenient.

I’d say the same, he’s so busy you need to be patient - but his price and quality of work is the best of many specialists in the marque.

The only other really good Indy I’ve found (but for lotus / Caterham ) is Q Mech near Bridgend who are first class.

Another thumbs up for Chris Denning.

Anthony at D9 in Porthcawl is also very good.

AWL in Swansea recommended for body work, a lot of expensive metal (and plastic!) goes through their workshop. Owner is a 996 owner too
