Flickering rear indicator!?

So I fitted a pair of lci rear lights onto my m235i, and after afew weeks noticed the passenger side rear indicator behaving a little oddly. I captured it on my phone...

I took it back off, went over all the steps to making sure all connections are snug, which they are.

I've been on a few forums, seems others have had similar issues. To sort it I need to give it a light punch, but it'll start happening again a week or two later.

Thought I'd ask on here if there's a solution other than buying another one and hope it doesn't happen again...
