Are Finance incentives for used cars on PCP a thing anymore?
Discussion
I’m currently in the market for something around the 45k mark. I’ve spoken with 1 Mercedes and 2 BMW dealers in the past few days regarding 3 specific cars, each 9-12 months old, 4-8k miles, £43-45k.
Each of the 3 cars has been advertised online for 50+ days with at least two price drops during this time.
When speaking to each dealer, I’ve made it clear that if they do me a good PCP deal I’ll sign on the dotted line immediately. No mention of “having a think” or “speaking to the Mrs”, I just want to get a deal done.
However, none would offer a “deposit contribution” or any incentive to purchase the car on Finance. The price is the price, and I was quoted the figures I could have found on their websites.
When I bought a 2 year old 5 series at the start of the year, they were throwing deposit contributions at me before I’d even asked.
Has something changed in recent months or have I just been unlucky?
