Mech Engineering job leads & considerations

A little fed up of life in the UK and needing a change, currently a move to the middle east suits the family.

Firstly looking for any leads or some direction on where to look for job leads out there. 10yrs experience in engineering consultancy but heavily automotive bias so think I would struggle to land anything senior oil & gas but I'm also not looking for a ridiculous salary, something to keep a reasonable lifestyle.

Secondly, what are the considerations I should be aware of being out there, have been various times and have no issues with the lifestyles so that wouldn't be a massive adjustment but with a little one schooling would be important as I wouldn't like to take any opportunities away from him. I'd also have to put our current house on rent and possessions into storage.
