Triangle shaped button on keychain?

Howdy, just picked up a Mk1 today and have 2 of these black triangle shaped buttons on my keychain. Was wondering if anyone knows what they are?

A little red triangle lights up at the top when the white brake-pedal/trapezium-with-gaps-inside shaped icon is pressed, also they’re in pretty shoddy condition with tape wrapped around them and split down the middle.

I have a late ('98) Mk1 and it just has a key.

Could it be an aftermarket alarm, central locking, or headlamp flash \ raise remote?
