Thats a shame to hear he has passed away, he was a great character actor.
He also played Herr Grunwald in the original Auf Wiedersehen Pet TV Series.........

Mr Bronson was also in Star Wars - on the death Star's flight deck with Peter Cushing. Look out for him when you next watch it.

edited to say: Ah. Have just read that link. Maybe I'm not so clever after all. D'oh.

This is very sad I know but a few days ago I had a trip down memory lane and visited a couple of Grange Hill tribute sites. I know, very sad gut it was Google’s fault

The previously mentioned Stebson is I think squatting in some drum in north London pending eviction, hardly surprising. Gripper really led a one man crusade to launch the idea of the football casual to an entire generation of young men when he started running around with the Chelsea firm.

Who can forget ‘Just say no’ after poor old Zamo discovered the wonders of chasing the dragon. Come to think of it that was quite a heavy hitting story line for Beeb in the 80’s

If like me you’re a mid thirties bloke consider the wonders of Faye Lucas, she made this one a happy chap when he was 13

Answer me this, would a character like Rowland Browning be allowed today, all 17 stone of him aged 14! Poor old Rowland, the fat kid every body else had a go at! He ended up pulling a French exchange student and clearing off to France wearing a Breton shirt and a string of garlic. Bloody priceless!

Let's get this right - it's Row-Land, OK? Two words.

He's been in some cracking movies! That list is almost endless for someone who you thought was juts a wee little English actor.

Michael Sheard was in "The Empire Strikes Back" as Admiral Ozzel. He is dispatched by Lord Vader after bringing the fleet out of hyperspace too close to Hoth. Spot the geek!

I actually met Michael Sheard at GenCon (UK) about 6 or 7 years ago, he was marketing his autobiography, "Memoirs of a Bum Actor" My mate said "I can't believe that's Mr. Bronson" within earshot of him. He responded with a a perfect deputy-headmaster "Boooooyyyy!"

He was really friendly and down-to-earth. Very sad news indeed.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't Gripper leave GH before Bronson started (1985)? I thought he had to contend with Bananarama-lookalike bully Emelda Davies?
