Z4 e89 Screaming Engine

I have posted under another heading here as well, asking for help finding a BMW mechanic to help fix a problem with my daughter's Z4. She has an e89 on a 59 plate that's done 134k miles but sounded very sweet indeed until recently.
It has started screaming once it gets hot, the sound could be mistaken for a belt slipping but its higher pitched more consistent and not affected by the engine speed. I have a video clip. A mechanic in the clip removes the oil filler cap and you can hear that motor sucking air in and the noise stops. He then screws the cap back and after a couple of seconds the noise starts again. This upsetting din has been accompanied by anomalies with the oil warning light coming on. The first time it happened the oil level was fine (digital level reading of course) but the red light has come on on subsequent occasions, however the engine still sounds fine there's no smoke from the exhaust at all and no oil on the ground.
