Apologies if this has been asked before or is just a really dumb question, but is there an easy way to get hold of the full service history for a BMW, when it comes to selling it?

I contacted BMW UK who told me to contact the dealers directly but the car is 10 years old and must have been to half a dozen or more dealers over the years. I don't fancy having to ring round each and every one (even if I could remember them all), and no doubt they'll want paying handsomely for a printout.

Can I get hold of it from the vehicle itself somehow?

I've seen some sites offer vehicle reports for around a tenner, including the service record - I presume they're useless as surely they don't have the full service history?

Go to you local dealer and ask them to read the key, should be able to give you a print out I think?!

Info wont be on key unless always serviced by main dealer. Not sure when service books were dropped but at 10 years old may still have been in use. My 2009 cars still got service book however dealer missed stamping it and updating key when they serviced it. Had to go to actual dealer when to have done -but not easy to find and then 200 mile round trip to get done(fortunately on way to mates)

I think any dealer can tell you which other dealers in the network it has visited, the dates and mileages but not necessarily what it was in for be it service or warranty

The dealer can give you the details and you’d have to ring the other dealers and ask them

However I’d have thought your car being from 2013 would be an F series and hence would have the records in the idrive

My 730d has missing service history.

Anyone (with software) can update the Idrive.
The issue is that if someone doesn't upload/subscribe that data the the BMW servers then when your car goes into a garage that does subscribe/have access to the BMW servers any data that doesn't match the servers will be removed.

The indy garage I use has access to the bmw system and therefore when my car was serviced recently BMW the Indy's data remained.
