I have acquired an X reg mk1 Yaris for my soon to be 17 daughter. It's in remarkably ok condition for its age but I'll be going through it mechanically anyway with a view to making it as resilient as I can which I'm comfortable doing. On that, can anyone point me towards a decent parts diagram site & any technical service literature for these? I'm usually working on BMWs where Real OEM is a handy resource & ideally looking for a Toyota equivalent. Thanks.

Haynes manual? It's available for that model Yaris.

Google "Toyota EPC"

Stick your chassis number in and away you go.

Many of us in the Toyota 4x4 forums have bought 'Techstream' from the usual online auction site, circa £25 last time i looked.
This gives almost full Toyota dealer standards of live stream data, key programming, injector programming etc.

Note, some people have no problem getting techstream onto their laptops, i'm useless with pc's but my wife is pretty switched on yet we had to get our IT mobile chap to finally install it and get it to link to the vehicle, but worth the effort a hundred fold.

You'll find this car a joy to work on compared to what you are used to, excellent choice.

Thanks for the suggestions chaps, very helpful & yes, I'm a fair way in to refreshing the car now & it's been very easy to work on so far. Fair to say I'm impressed by the quality of engineering, you notice it in things like fixings that come undone easily after 20 British winters. Can't say the same for some others I've worked on. Although the drum brakes have been a pain in the rear...!
