Hi guys,

Do any of you have experience with servicing Alpina's?

My XD3 is due (almost at 50k) and I am not sure whether to take it to Sytner Tamworth or look for a specialist? I live in Shenstone.

Also, when I purchased this there were no decals on the back (Alpina lettering etc) can I buy these from somewhere??

Thanks
James.

Tamworth should be fine for service. They seem to have Alpinas in there quite a bit.

You'll be able to order decals over the phone and collect in a day or two.

BMR Performance is generally regarded as the best place for Alpina vehicles. I live in Germany and I am taking B5 there for them to give it the once over smile

Sytner Tamworth should be fine; there always quite a few knocking about they dealership these days.

Failing that, what about Sytner Nottingham? Aren’t they heavily involved with Alpina?

The parts guys in Tamworth are really good (I’m on first name terms with most of them now laugh ) and will be able to order the decals.

Wow, just read that! One of the main reasons I always collect my car's from the dealership.
Sounds like a real sh!t show right there.

To put an end to the thread, I finally managed to get hold of someone in charge of the service dept over there, as these Alpina's have two vin numbers it was throwing all sorts of issues up.

All sorted now and my ridiculously expensive service is in the diary.
Thanks for all your help guys.

Sytners are the official importers and distributers of Alpinas to the UK, so Nottingham especially should be fine for servicing.

Ultimately, though, any BMW dealer will be fine as they use BMW parts and oil etc for service items. Its only when you get into turbos, coolers etc where it becomes Alpina specific.

Ok so an update.

Sytner serviced my Car, I mentioned that when I purchased the vehicle in November there was quite bad juddering upon breaking and was advised to see how it goes.

I have been so busy since then that this was the first time I had chance to get to the dealership for a follow up.

They agreed that the front brakes are warped and need replacing. On the video they sent me they said it could be done under warranty.

However when going to collect the car they then said it wasn’t a warranty replaceable part.

I have the sales person involved as he was aware of the issue when I first purchased. However both sales and service are now ignoring me (2 weeks since the service).

What is the best form of escalation for me as I think I will need to complain now unfortunately.

Thanks
James
