I've recently moved home and want to set about working out the driveway. Its currently loose gravel, but doesnt look the best as obviously the gravel moves around (mainly to the edges) due to vehicle movement.
I want to maintain the gravel driveway look, as opposed to resin or tarmac, so have been look at the grid systems which would do a much better job of keep it looking good. The issue appears to be when I look online there are a plethora of people selling them, and the prices range massively.
The driveway is about 50 metres long by roughly 3 metres in width, with a wider area at the top, so suspecting around 250m2 in all.
Any recommendation on products and best prices I should be paying ?

I bought these recently for my garden/driveway. They are decent thick plastic that could easily take a cars weight. They clip together realky easy too.
Big at 50cm square. 12 in a box.

I have a shared driveway and we used EcoGrid, recommended by a PHer mate who did installs for the company 20 years ago. They have 3 different spec's and on the advice of the supplier we installed the E40 grade of grid which was their mid size grid prodcut. We have weekly visit of a 30t bin lorry and it handles the traffic and abuse from delivery drivers performing Grand Prix starts on it daily. We ended installing about 540sqm, and if you have a high level on traffic on it, don't overfill the gravel as vehicles end up sweeping the gravel away down to the top of the grid.

They did say they would sell to us direct, but that might of because of the amount we were buying.

We used them as a cheap bodge to bridge a gap on our drive between the existing concrete and the pavement (to make the drive more usable)
They are used at a steeper angle than the manufacturer recommends and have had cars, vans, skip lorries etc on them and have been down for about 5-6 years. No issues other than the odd holding peg has broken from going brittle but we haven’t replaced them and nothing has moved.
Can’t remember the make of ours but I think they were chesterfield based if I remember correctly.

apologies for the resurrection- I'm intending in using gravel grids for a car parking area. Understand about having a good sub base, etc, but was wondering on what others have used for the "fill in" gravel and what their experiences are.
Was going to use 20mm pea gravel- purely for aesthetic reasons, but from what I've read; its "slippery" nature gives rise to problems.
So; what gravel spec have you used and would you recommend it? also; did you just rake it over the grids or whack it down first.
Many thanks in advance my fellow PHers.

Yes decent sized crushed rock if you can get it rather than gravel.
The stuff from our local quarry is some sort of basalt so is pretty dark but you can get all sorts of colours depending on your local geology.
Don't pay a fortune - think we pay something like £15 a tonne. There's quite a big area (easily a couple of hundred tonnes on there) and despite cars, pickups, trailers, tractors etc regularly moving around and turning it doesn't move at all.
