Small, fun auto…
Discussion
Need a small ish second car for low mileage local driving mostly, and as a back-up.
Are there any good small autos out there? 4 seater hatch, budget 7.5k max ideally. All the usual suspects seem to be awful in auto form? Open to ideas. No Vauxhalls please.
Ps I’d rather a manual but the other half prefers auto and it will be mostly driven within M25. So petrol or hybrid too needed.

Fiat/abarth 500
Vw polo/ seat Ibiza cupra/ skoda Fabia VRS/ Audi A1 all available with a DSG box, watch out for the 1.4TSI as they drink oil for fun, the facelift of all of them changed
To a 1.8 I think
The same cars but with the 1.5 150tsi engine which is pretty quick in something so small. Budget may be a struggle though
Mini Cooper S
BMW 1 series although a bit bigger
Alfa guilla 170bhp petrol, or a mito?

I'd say the Giulietta Quadrifoglio is the pick, like all dual clutch gearboxes they need servicing at the right time, as long as this has been done then it's a good pick:

The regular 170 version is still a good option:
