Sportscar day hire Midlands

My wife has suggested that for my 40th birthday we could look into hiring a sports car for the day and enjoy a drive into the Cotswolds for a nice meal. We have hired Mustangs and Camaros from Herz in America but I’m not sure how easy or affordable it would be to hire something similar in the UK. We are near Stratford. Any suggestions welcome.

I had a great day in the Cotswolds in a Morgan Plus 4. Great little cars.

Avis Prestige is one option. The only downside is I *think* all the pickups/drop offs are at airports but it's been a while since I came across them so it might have changed.

I've used this place a couple of times in the past. Shrewsbury based so roughly the right area. Plus the roads of north and mid Wales on the doorstep.

If Somerset was an option as a destination, you could consider Drive South West which was set up by a PH'er. I think from memory his name was "Mr E". I'm sure if you search back far enough you'll find a thread where most people told him it was a daft idea and couldn't be done, and he proved them wrong and the company has grown and grown over the years.

Thanks for those. It’s looking like we are about 2 hours away from anywhere hiring modern sports cars. Morgan is closer but to be honest I’d prefer something a bit more modern.

They are brand new if it helps, 260hp 2.0 BMW engine and they shift quite well. Worth looking into as it's quite different.

I was going to suggest these as well, they are a couple of units down from where I work.
