I have three pairs of riding jeans, some better than others. But one thing I find with all of them is that when it gets hot (which is pretty much all summer here) my leg hairs get stuck to them, and then constantly pull on my skin when sitting on the bike. Nothing seems to make this go away, so they are all uncomfortable for some of the time.

What's the best way to alleviate this? I was thinking of trying wearing lycra shorts underneath to reduce the friction. Anyone else get this, or just me?

Back in my more serious cycling days, I was no stranger to the Venus razor range. A surprising side effect was my leathers have never been so comfortable, especially in the hot summer weather. Don’t poo poo it!

This, crazy as it seems to put an extra layer on, it actually works.

They speak the truth. Used to wear a base layer under my race suit when riding on track, made everything better, particularly on warmer days.

Agreed, I always wear a base layer under my leathers, so much easier (and cooler) to get on/off.

LOL, thanks for the replies. laugh

I always wear a base layer up top, hadn't thought about bottoms though. The only ones I can see are full length..?

full length base layer/leggings 100%, doesn't matter if riding in leathers or jeans I ALWAYS wear them and not just for sweaty legs but because it means you don't need to feel the leather/denim against your skin which i find annoying when riding and also they stop your jeans riding up. I have Oxford ones that do the job fine.

I have rokker jeans and I understand that they don’t need a lining which cuts down on sweat…it is the older Kevlar jeans that had to have a liner that caused the issues.
