2017 F20 1 series headlight smashed

Hopefully someone can help, a stone was flung up while I was driving and hit my passenger side headlight, and has smashed the plastic light cover. The light itself is fine and still works.

Is it possible to just replace the light cover or do I need a whole new headlight to be fitted? I’m not great at car diy but if removing the light unit and replacing the cover is possible and not too difficult I’d give it a go.

Removing the light isn't difficult per se, changing the lens is quite a bit more involved. There's a few companies who can change them, i had a look a few months ago before one of the cars went through an insurance claim as other costs soon added up.
