IIRC it's on the blower motor itself

Have you had a look at the parts diagrams on RealOEM?

What makes you think it's the FSU? do you have blower/heating issues?

How old is your battery and have you checked to see that it's been correctly coded to the car?

The FSU was a well known issues for the likes of the E39s and E38s; but it wasn't much of an issue on the younger, more recent cars?

The F01 is packed with electrical gubbins etc; could be all sorts

I began to get very strange messages on the I drive so my 1st thought was to fit a new battery which I did a week ago and got it coded to the car...and still I get the same 2 come up.....which is always when I've locked the car for a period of time

Battery draining when stationary and parking brake only partially available

But I did notice with the air con its either full blown or none at all and if I set it to 16 degrees when I come back to the car it's now at 22.degrees.

I did go to a local bmw specialist and his 1st answer was the FSU but he couldn't fit me in for at least 3 weeks so I've got the new FSU and gonna fit it myself.

Quick update changed the FSU which looked like the photo.

Also had to change the IBS on top does the new IBS need coding ? To the car
