Hello

We're off to Berlin in August for the missus' latest special birthday and neither me nor any of my mates have any experience of the local food scene. The usual foodie websites conflict each other and so recs for dinner welcome in the following categories:

1) PH company director $$$$$$$$ blowout bracket - this is just for fun, Im not that minted
2) Nice meal for special occasion
3) Good but not as spendy as above
4) Currywurst - this is serious by the way and a definite lunch venue

Thanks in advance

A Berlin doner kebab is something else. For one thing, no @rse gravy the day after.

Served in a quarter-round of German bread, with loads of fresh salad, and in hygienic conditions.

We've eaten at the Braufactum am Hausvogteiplatz restaurant a few times now. Excellent sausages cooked on an open fire/bbq with some very decent beers to match. Recommended.
