Just bought a 520d 06
Everything works except the cd player
Is it a case of cleaning it or is this a common problem and the unit needs changing
Also the middle head rest in the back has a square hole in it.Was there a plastic vent or something to cover it.

CD player is probably knackered, so 2nd hand unit, easy to swap over plenty of videos online

The gap in the headrest is to pull the central armrest down.

The gap looks like there was a plastic trim there once.
Hopefully easy to source.

There's not a trim to cover the hole, otherwise you wouldn't be able to pull it down.
